Dashboards
The executive dashboard is a single view of multiple silos of data,
to provide an overall perspective of corporate performance. It serves
as a convenient point of entry into mass streams of data and information
relevant to a particular executive.
Dashboards can intepreted as a easily accessible, personalized
portal of 'relevant' performance data to assist executives in day
to day decision making.
Data stored in divergent sources is unified in the dashboard,
providing insight and key metrics for many areas of the business.
Components on the dashboard are commonly referred to as portlets
- and can be customised for each business unit and/or user group.
Dashboards are appearing in various formats - static frontends,
web tab applications and widgets on intranet portals.
